The Ultimate Travel Guide to Breathtaking Bali: The Island of the Gods

Updated: Jan 4

Start your new year with the ultimate escape. Bali, the "Island of the Gods," is the world’s capital of laid-back, premium travel. It is a place where you can find true peace, pampering, and privacy in the middle of a lush, tropical paradise.

Imagine yourself waking up in a stunning private pool villa. You slide open the glass doors, step onto your terrace, and your own private pool is right there, overlooking a lush jungle canyon. This is the signature Bali experience.

This is an island built for wellness. You can have a private yoga instructor come to your villa each morning. You can indulge in three-hour treatments at world-class spas. You can have a "floating breakfast" delivered to you in your pool.

Bali blends adventure with pure relaxation. You can take a private, guided hike up a volcano for sunrise, or you can do absolutely nothing at all, perfectly.

Premium Experiences in Bali

Bali is full of amazing things to do. Here is how to experience them with the highest level of comfort and style.

1. Stay in a Private Pool Villa This is the ultimate Bali upgrade. Instead of just a hotel room, you can have your own private, walled villa. I can help you sort through the thousands of listings to find a perfectly-vetted, high-quality property with a trusted staff.

2. A World-Class Spa Day Bali's spas are legendary. I partner with the best spas in Ubud and can book treatments in their private, open-air rooms that aren't available for standard online booking. This includes the famous "flower baths."

3. Sunrise Volcano Hike with a Private Guide This is a bucket-list adventure. We can arrange a private guide to pick you up. My guides are insured, experienced, and know the safest, most scenic route to the top for sunrise.

4. A Reserved Daybed at a Top Beach Club The beach clubs in Seminyak are world-famous. Don't just show up and hope for a spot. I will book a plush, front-row daybed for you at a top Beach Club.

5. A Private Balinese Cooking Class Go beyond just eating the food. I can arrange a private cooking class with a Balinese chef. My partners run this class from their beautiful family compound, not a generic commercial kitchen, for a truly authentic experience.

Where to Stay

  • Ubud: I love COMO Uma Ubud for its famous spa. When I book clients here, I can secure complimentary breakfast for two, a spa credit, and/or a room upgrade.

  • Seminyak: To be near the top restaurants, Alila Seminyak Bali is a stylish option. I have a great relationship with them and can often secure a late check-out and room upgrades for my clients.

Your Perfect Day in Bali

  • 8:00 AM: Start your day with a private yoga and meditation session on the terrace of your villa, arranged by me.

  • 10:00 AM: Enjoy a gourmet "floating breakfast" served in your private pool, which I'll have pre-arranged with your villa staff.

  • 1:00 PM: Indulge in a premium spa treatment at the jungle spa I partner with, ending with that famous flower bath.

  • 5:00 PM: Your private driver takes you to the beach club where your reserved daybed is waiting.

  • 8:30 PM: Enjoy a gourmet dinner at the world-renowned Sarong. Reservations are essential, and I will handle that for you.

You've read the guide. You have the ideas. But what happens when...

  • ...your private driver doesn't show up?

  • ...the villa's air conditioning breaks in the middle of the night?

  • ...your "skip the line" ticket doesn't scan?

That's where I come in.

When you book with me, you aren't just getting an itinerary; you're getting a personal advocate. I handle every detail, from securing exclusive perks to being your 24/7 support during your trip.

Ready to plan a vacation where you can actually relax?

Warmly,

Sharren
